About Me

Dr. Valeria Cespedes Musso

Jungian Analyst Candidate

I am an American living in Frankfurt am Main, where I have my private practice. I offer analysis in English and work online as well as in person.

Currently, I am undertaking my training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich, Switzerland. Prior to this, I completed my doctorate in Psychoanalytical Studies at Essex University in the UK in 2017. My recent publications include Marian Apparitions in Cultural Contexts, Routledge, 2018; and The Mexican-American cultural complex: Accessing the depth-psychological problems due to challenges of assimilation in American Society in Jungian Perspectives on Indeterminate States: Betwixt and Between Borders, Routledge, 2020.

In Los Angeles, I worked with refugees and asylum seekers in a therapeutic setting. As a foreigner, I understand the challenges of adapting to a new home and culture. I accompany adults who want to find meaning and a sense of home and community in a new culture and with other different issues. I help work with clients through dream, paintings, imagination, and everyday life situations. In this process, unconscious contents which may be holding you back, could emerge making new energy available and allowing a new perception and a stronger sense of self. Primary areas of focus include: working with intergenerational complexes, traumatic experiences and abuse, depression, and anxiety.
